We are currently writing up a large document covering many aspects of vBulletin, dealing mainly with installation, upgrading and creating vbtest environments very easily. As you can expect, the details that we publish are not copied from anywhere else, we just show you ways of doing tasks far quicker than using vBulletin's own manual. You may of seen video tutorials on YouTube, etc explaining how to install or upgrade, but we have our own methods.

Following on from the success of this sleek modification we are bringing in a more advanced version. This will allow you to alter parameters externally which we have set internally. To do this another XML file will be added, but this one overrides internal set parameters to how you would like them to work and function.

Preparation
Firstly, we have fixed the width of the whole site using StyleVars, this is set to a maximum width of 950 pixels. By doing this, you notice that your forums become misaligned on all browsers, therefore we made another slight adjustment to the left and right margins, by changing both
Server & Hosting
Digital Port is run on a Virtual Private Server which is proudly hosted by URLJet in the USA. Unlike previous web hosts that we have been with over the years, our website is served by a LiteSpeed server, compared to Apache which we have always used in the past. LiteSpeed technology gives us the advantage of running roughly 8 times faster than Apache. Thus we give the visitor the best performance possible from a vBulletin powered website.
vBulletin Optimizing
Welcome to the new look of Digital Port. While we are still making adjustments to the layout, we have opened most areas for you to look at and tryout. There are still many areas that are still undergoing updating, but we needed to get the site back online. We are improving the site structure, this is one area we have not touched in years, but to give you the user the best it has been all changed.
We have come a long way since 2003, and improved many areas.
