Thread: FYI: Major Changes to Digital Port

As part of keeping up with technology we will implementing major changes between now and 2010. During this period there will be some downtime while the site is re-configured, new areas will be added, while others will be removed.

Our overall look will be changing with redirects placed should you have an area of the site in your favorites which will not be available after the rebuild.

For the past month we have been working hard on the new development, some scripts have been updated to work with the new site. Major changes have been incorporated, some of which has meant we have had to remove certain areas due to incompatibility issues. We intend to be using the most advanced scripts available in the industry today, this will allow for us to expand further in the future.

Blog system updated and for admin use only

Promote forum posts to Blog or Article (easier referencing)
Search Engine Optimizing updated and auto-submitting to major search engines
Widget System

Some features will be exclusive to Digital Port, and not available elsewhere. More details to follow shortly.
