This happens quite a lot, often by mistake - since you don't really want your email address posted in messages. This would just get your email address 'spammed'.


Go to:

AdminCP -> vBulletin Options -> User Registration Options -> Illegal User Names

In the box, simply enter:
@

This will stop people signing up with their email addresses in the username field, when registering.
