Easily Upgrade vBulletin to a newer version
Often overlooked, when upgrading to a later version of vBulletin, and can be a daunting experience for the newcomer.
Firstly, if you havent modified your install too much you can use this method easily.
Download your new upgrade, preferably in .zip format, then upload and overwrite all files, except the includes/config.php.new file (remove it if necessary before uploading). The reason for this is because vbulletin's config.php file doesn't change at all, with most versions and your upgrade will connect to the original database, without configuring the database server name, database name, user or password.
Now run the upgrade as per vbulletin instructions.
All should work fine - if you see any template reverts then I suggest you do these manually, if you have modifications installed.
