Post vBulletin Commercial Modifications

Commercial modfications will be announced on this forum, along with full details on product features, and screenshots.

Many commercial products are planned and already in development stages, one of which will be the vbE-Center.

The vbE-Center
This will probably be one of our top selling products since it will be using
advanced coding in vBulletin and also Flash. It will be based on the Xeon mp3 player in style, but with many more features. The vbE-Center is planned to support streaming of mp3's (download maybe an option via the AdminCP), upload and streaming Digital Video clips (usergroup permission set), 'live' radio and tv. The AdminCP will have 4 separate menus, for each section, even though the flash-based console, will combine all settings.

All this will be controlled from a main console, with a 'slide-out' video screen for viewing video and tv. The modification itself will just be the versatile console, capable of expansion, via addons which we will release at later dates. It will come with an 'ebook' on how to install, setup and operate, and of course it will be fully supported here on Digital Port.

Unhappy Re: vBulletin Commercial Modifications

Hi, I've spoke with you on this and at vb hacks. Do you guys know when there will be a fix on protecting your purchasers files? I bought it with the thought that my files would be protected. I know you are working on it, but do you have any time schedule as to when it'll be actually ready for commercial use? I know it may be impossible to keep people from getting QT movies, but I can get all your mp3's too. So that means my users will be able to get mp3's from labels that put their mp3's on my site. Thinking they're music is protected. If there's no fix, is there a refund, because I haven't even allowed my users to use it yet, and right now I just wasted $50.00 U.S.D. on this media center and it's of no use to me. Even when I turn it off I get a white page!!! It doesn't even have a temporarily closed for maintenance page! I've asked over at vb hacks, but no answer because no one can see my posts!

Really thought this was THE one!

I did pay for the thing, and I've already answered and asked questions there. The right click thing is STILL NO GOOD when poeple just use their browsers 'view page source' and all my video files were right there! And taken! And they are not mine they belong to recording labels who are NOT happy. When I bought this I was told all would be protected! We opened it for X-mas for a few days and many videos were taken because untrust worthy members saw the source code of this media center. Well, our guy traced their I.P's and they are no longer in our community. But, this security thing has either got to be fixed... Or give me my money back and I'll look elsewhere. Because right now, it's turned 'off' and of NO use to me at it's current state!
Why is vb hacks.com so top spy over there? My gawd he's on a vbulletin board and makes every members posts go thru a moderation process before he gets around to answering them! Not blaming you, but if you knew the ramifications that may happen to us because this media center allowed poeple to steal our files, you would be as angry as I am!

Re: vBulletin Commercial Modifications

Hi all

I will be updating the mp3 and flv players for the media center.
These new players will now hide the url from anyone so they will not be able to download any of your files.
The updates are only to these 2 players as its a lot harder to hide the url to the windows media player and the quick time players.

How the url is hidden is very simple in the php code it will strip out some of the letters to the url and replace them with code i have choosen,
Then when the info is passed to the players the player will find the parts that have been changed and change them back to what the url should be.

So inafect when your are in the popup screen viewing the mp3 player click ctrl + u to view the source code and you will see some thing like this,
file=http://www.f|l@l[]dg@.c[]m/f|l@s/r[][]m41/1174515/c()sc()d()-@v@ryt|m@_w@_t[]*ch.mp3

as you can see the url is totaly changed and will not show the user the url the file is from
so they will not be able to download the file.

This will be released tonight or tomorrow i will email everyone on this site to let them know.

Mike

Re: vBulletin Commercial Modifications

Nice work. One question. Why isn't there a volume knob for either? Just a play and pause button? Also, I planned to update to get the branding free edition. But I see the MP3 player links right back to this site. Why can't the buyers of the branding free center just get the .fla file, so we can customize it to our own site? Just curious. The new scramble fix seems to be doing it's job.

Hi there

Im glad the new scramble fix is doing its job, i will be updating the scramble to do the hole url to make it alot harder for members to try and decode.

As for the link that sends you back to this site i will talk to the owner and see about having that removed for the branding free version.
As to the volume button there will be changes made the the mp3 and flv players to do this and more when we have time.

we will also be making new mp3 and flv players to but sold separate to replace the mp3 and flv player you might have, but i will have to ask syrus about this to make sure.
