We are demonstrating an alpha version component part of the
vB PowerStreamer on our front page. The example is not using standard FLV, progressive or streaming in anyway. It is purely using an H.264 video file, which has been loaded and through Flash but not using the standard FLV component, the basic coding is using a Video Object coded in ActionScript 3.0. The actual player is only 7k in size, but loads the 9Mb video file when the play button is pressed. The alpha version doesn't not support streaming yet, but will be auto-switch from progressive to streaming, depending on connection speeds.
What we have on display is just part of the full product in development. The features that will be available in the full product, have been added by request from various clients. These include the product being able to read streams from
mp3's, video, images and text, and allow all to be available to download. It supports unlimited Channels, switchable video screen ratios and much more. The product itself can update content 'on-the-fly' by setting the configuration files.
