Cool vbFLV Player coming soon!

The XML vbFLV Player v1.0

Due by popular demand we are making available a XML driven version of the vbFLV Player, this will be a free version and available on here and vBulletin.org. Many people have asked us, if it was possible to have video playback of onsite videos, well this player has been designed just for that purpose.

This is a FLV player based on the XEON Mp3 Player style. It introduces a new concept for vBulletin users, allowing uploading of full motion video clips, via FTP only. Crystal clear video guarantees your members wanting more. Auto-detection of Normal or Widescreen video formats, causes the player to adjust automatically.

Click the image to open in full size.

XML Demo version:
  • Domain-locked
  • Supports thumbnail Previews and descriptions
  • Buffering enabled by default
  • Auto-detect Normal and Widescreen
  • Using FLV format giving approx 5:1 ratio compression
  • Supports large video file sizes via FTP
  • Auto-detect 'auto-scroll' single playlist once player display limit is reached
This is an 'alpha' release and will change a lot by the time of its public release.

If you're wondering why it is called the XML vbFLV Player - it is because of the video format used. Google and YouTube use FLV for video, mainly due to the very high compression ratio. We will list a number of free programs that will convert most video formats to FLV. It is XML driven, therefore we are releasing it as a free, supported version. There will be a Pro version (Commercial) of this modification very soon using full vBulletin integration, with many more new features added, and again fully supported

Digital Port does not accept any missuse of this product, including playback/streaming of copyrighted material.

A combination console is also planned, allowing you to play mp3's, podcast, video, live radio and tv, Google and youTube (compatible).

Think that is due to it being set to local connections only, not external.

I was referring to internal and external linking. Obviously, external linking is using someone elses bandwidth, while internal is using your own servers bandwidth.
