I have a problem with spyware pop ups which I've not had for a very long time.it's a trogan called Abatear A .
Ive been using pcguard which comes with my package from cable but I think it's let this one through.
Now it says this is in my hkeys_local_machine\system\currentcontrolset\enum\ ...\legacy_domainservice but I wondered if there was a removal tool for this as I dont trust myself to do it manually,It looks complicated
Please can you help as Ive searched through google and all I get is programmes that you download and pay for.Do you know anything I can use?

Help needed Ive down loaded a tool from google and followed all the instructions from the symantec web site
Now after doing a scan.I'veTurned off system restore and tried to run the tool for the trogen VUNDO which is the same virus as ABETEAR A.
But when I try to click on the tool to run it says not a valid win 32 file.
So were am I going wrong.?and why wont the tool work?

Hi Millie,

Try changing the compatibility mode of the program. To do this right-click on the program, and select Properties -> Compatibility Tab -> Run this program in compatibility mode for (tick box) select an older operating system than XP. Click Apply then OK.

I changed the compatability mode as you suggested and it was on windows 95.
But when I clicked the run box an error came up as before
fixvundo.exe is not a valid win 32 application.

So back to square one I just dont know what to do next,every time i use explorer i have numerous pages opening of casinos and such,it's so annoying.
I think I've been hi-jacked lol
