Hope I've got this in the right place, and it makes sense, but........

The thing about the security issue using IE and banking. I use Avant browser, which I think sits on IE. Does the same security issue apply to that, or should I use something like Netscape when I do my banking online? Thanks.

Hi hairy,

Yes - Avant is really just a skin for Internet Explorer, I would suggest using Netscape, Firefox or something similar for secure online banking, or anything else that uses a secure 128bit encryption data transfer.

The website where the exploit was sent from has since been closed down in Russia. However, the exploit patch has not yet been released from Microsoft.

L8rs..

Syrus

Internet Explorer is safe, if you have a firewall, security settings on a good setting and a few more configs changed then its fine.
