STAPLES UK
Well, I would say 'yes'. I purchased a laptop from the highstreet retailer Staples (UK), thinking I had a good deal with 10% knocked off for being the last model in the shop.
The following day, the DEL key fell off, but that was easy to fix. However, 2 days later 2 screws fell out of the bottom. So I took the laptop back, explaining the situation and watched their technician. He didn't have a screwdriver small enough to fit the screws so he used a corner of a 'Putty Knife' (this of course damaged the covering on the black screws).
Needless to say, the machine stayed at Staples and I got a full refund.
One shop I'll never go to for computer hardware again!
One thing I should point out here is that with any laptop, apart from a true IBM one, is your warranty does not cover the keyboards.
