Avast 4 is now free for home users. This is an excellent AV which is feature rich and very easy to use.

I must admit I've tried lots including some paid for programs. There is nearly always a trade off which is usually exessive use of system resorces or complecated to use, however I have used this since 4 came out and have yet to find a down side.

Ive been using avast for as long as ive been on the net. I swear by it, beats norton hands down!!!!!!!!!
