Sent MP3 File Missing in Action

Hi:

A friend sent me an mp3 by MSN messenger 7.5. After the file downloads the
XP Security Center pops up and says that file was blocked, but I can go
unblock it by altering its attribute. However, when I go to the location
where the file is supposed to have been written, the file is missing and no
attribute to adjust. Anyone know what is going on and how to fix this
annoying behavior?

TIA,

Pete

Greetings Pete,

Yes this is by design. To fix this, download and run the following .reg file:

You'll need to restart Messenger to see the change.
