Trouble with recieving IM's from a specific person

I cannot figure out why, but when 1 particular person trys to IM me, about
half the time it will not show up. I recieve everyone elses IMs except for
hers. It is a speradic problem and doesn't always happen. The only way that
I've found to solve the problem is to keep that message window open all the
time. Any ideas?
