I have a Win XP SP2 computer with Office 2003 Pro SP2 (including PowerPoint)
installed that tries every night to install KB921566 (a PowerPoint 2003
update). It fails with this event in the System log:

Have also tried installing it via Office Update and by downloading the patch
from the KB article; no joy. I searched for 8007066F on MSKB but there were
no hits.

When I run the downloaded hotfix executable, this is recorded in the log
file in the %temp%\ohotfix folder: "Encountered error 1612 while updating."

From MSKB articles, Error 1612 is "cannot find installation source".
Installation source is cached...never had a problem with Office updates
before. Regardless, downloaded and ran LISTool.exe from MS download site to
recache the Office 2003 files and tried the hotfix again. Same result.

Noted with interest that the number one file shown under "downloaded by
others who downloaded LISTool" on the LISTool download page was the KB921566
hotfix! But LISTool did not solve my problem, that's for sure.
