I can not update Windows Office XP Service Pack 3. Half way through it asked
for the instalation CD. I select this and the instalation fails with the
following error code: 0x530. Can anyone shed any light on this one, please.

Try downloading and installing the "full file" version of Office XP SP3 from
[url]http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=85AF7BFD-6F69-4289-8BD1-EB966BCDFB5E&displaylang=en#filelist[/url]

Then use MicrosoftUpdate (not WindowsUpdate or OfficeUpdate), to install all
remaining patches (for Office XP and Windows)...

Above works fine for me in my organisation.
