What is the Office Icon in the Taskbar?

When using Microsoft Office 2003 applications, you may have noticed that the menus only show a few frequently used commands; you have to click on arrows to show the full list of menu items. While this may be a good idea for beginners, if you want Office 2003 applications to show all menu items all the time, do the following:

1. From any Microsoft Office 2003 application, choose "Tools" then "Customize".
2. When the "Customize" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, select "Options".
3. Check "Always show full menus".
4. Click "Close".

Note that changing this option affects all currently installed Microsoft Office 2003 applications
