- Been playing with electronics and computers for 25yrs – My first computer was a Sinclair ZX80 in kit form with 1k of memory, back in the early eighties.
I’m married with 3 children aged 7, 13 and 17. I had an accident at the age of 22 which damaged my spine, leaving me with Focal Segmental Dystonia (a rare nerve disorder). Eventhough I am classed as disabled, I’m always willing to share my knowledge of computers with others.
Over the years I have added more websites, most are linked to this website. The types of websites available vary, and cover many aspects of media.
For nearly 4 years now I have been learning Macromedia Flash, a great program if you want to create animation, short movies, etc. I like creating computer art, who doesn’t dabble with art programs!?

It's not far from release - vB PowerStreamer is about to change many aspects of how media is delivered across the internet.

I am always looking at improving or developing new products, podcasts are quite new to users, but used regulary around the internet by iPod and Microsoft Zune users. What I am aiming for is a flash-based version that can be incorporated into any website, enabling people to use podcasts either audio or video directly on their websites, which would automatically update content.

Ever since Digital Port was launched in September 2004, we have always used 'shared hosting' - this is the cheapest hosting type for anyone starting up a website. Shared hosting means a website is on the same server with maybe over 1,000 or more other websites, so there can be problems if any site becomes popular and causes the server load to increase. In this time we have moved the website to various hosting companies due to problems encountered, or we were using too many resources on the server....

Our current status on the FLV Media Player Pro is finally taking preference over many other planned development projects. It will be released within 2 weeks as an 'alpha' based release, therefore it will probably change considerably before its full release.
We are using renamed extensions on all .flv files, this stops most of the downloading programs that grab video files from working, since they do not recognize the extension as downloadable content. This extension is configurable...
