Welcome divertree! Nice to see you found us. Many of the mods released over on vb.org are now only supported here. Plus we've got a lot planned this year, with some very nice unique modifications.

Yeah, the Xeon has proved a popular modification amongst the vbulletin community. It will be also ported over to Subdreamer, allowing Invision, SMF, phpBB users to use it. We are currently waiting for our ID's to be registered for the mods.
There are quite a few pages...on vb.org! Hopefully, it should slow down on there now, since all support has been moved. Any future updates will only be released on here and the co-authors websites, both sites have the ability to notify members that have installed certain modifcations to inform them of updates, etc.
We are also making major changes to the content of this site, mainly to the site navigation and additional content being introduced.

i think the layout is pretty cool. most of my users are new to message boarding and have a hard time navigating around the three forums and two subforums that i have set up. they would be totally lost here. lol. |

Well, that is true - our site traffic coming in from vb.org is around 1,000+ per month, however most come from Google and Yahoo. Basically, we used to produce flash games years ago which are all hyperlinked back to here, creating numerous 'linkbacks' - the games are still held on another server for downloading.
We've just spent in the region of $300 - upgrading various scripts and purchasing new brand free ones. The navigation is next to be sorted out on here - still some tweaks to improve our SEO Page Ranking to do. I need to clean the database up as well, its over 400 tables, which is a bit on the large size! lol A lot of work to do, and not enough hours in a day...

my site is set up around two domain names. one is a five page website that i direct all my incoming traffic to and have it layed out explaining the purpose of the board and our privacy policy, terms of service agreement, mission statment and all of our reciprical links (not many unless you count the directories that we list) the second domain is the message board itself and the spiders find it through the webpage. the message board hasnt been optimized at all as of now, but the webpage is very spider friendly. i think the only thing holding me back is the quality reciprical links. its hard to find websites with a high pagerank that want to swap links with a message board. especially since my page is ranked so low. not to much traffic comming in from the search engines and directories. |

Linkbacks do play an important part with Page Ranking, but there are also tweaks that can improve vBulletin and websites in general. If you view the source code on any page on here, you'll notice that the meta tags are tweaked for robots, etc. This is done by editing a few templates in vBulletin, I'll post the actual template edits I've done on here on a new thread. I'm just designing a template mod to increase traffic further by using social bookmarking, there are a few around already, but not where I want the code to be, and I'm adding some new bookmarking sites. There are numerous tips and tricks I could post to get websites ranks up, I should post a few, some may shock some people.
Once I get the links directory sorted you can add your site on here, at the moment its in the middle of being changed and updated, because I don't like the current one, so its being dropped - eventhough it was a commercial script.
As for games, I don't have many of the games we actually developed on here, mainly because they were designed for pnFlashGames, and they are a pain to install manually. I do have gamepacks for ibpro Arcade script, but they take ages to upload, since I have around 4,000 games... only some have been installed on here so far - I need to install some more. lol
