Hi Jacko,
The SCSI (pronounced scuzzi) adapter, is actually a virtual driver that is part of Windows. You can reinstall it by doing the following.
Click Start then go to Run. Type cmd in the box.
You will then get the command prompt type sfc
You will now be asked for your Windows XP CDROM. SFC stands for System File Checker, it is used to replace missing or corrupted system files. Since you have deleted the SCSI adapter, this will be reinstalled.
