Description: Site Update (Security Patch Applied)
Objectives: Minor Advertising being introduced - Site allowing monetization advertising - low level.
Competitions: These will be introduced soon with monthly prizes available.
Site Update:- The site is currently being updated, within the following areas:
- Guest welcome added and fixed
- Additional graphics for forum categories introduced
- Arcade being upgraded (A few new games are not currently available under the 'Newest Games' section).
- Current arcade will be upgraded very soon.
- Smilies in message boxes moved to be below main text entry boxes, thus allowing more Smilies to be displayed at any one time. Xmas smilies already added and available by default.
Advertising:
We are installing code to allow advertising, however this is normal text and banner linking. We do not allow any popups on the site. Advertising revenue is being used to pay current hosting, domain fees, and for us to advertise the site on a number of commercial websites.
Competitions:
Some of the revenue being generated from advertisers, will be used on competitions, which will be run on a monthly basis. We are now in a situation to be able to give away freebies - this will be the first time since Digital Port started back in September 2003.
