| Google Ads Removed
Digital Port UK has displayed for almost 3 years now, Google advertisements.
At first it seemed a good idea to create revenue from a large company, however we soon seen another side to Google Adsense.
During the first 4 months we displayed their advertising banners, we received one cheque for $79.95 – this was our one and only cheque that Google ever paid Digital Port.
When we reached the second minimum $100 payout, Google refused to pay due to ‘fraudulent’ clicks being detected. They then closed our account.
We approached Google again, and we were approved again to display their advertisements. This time we actually monitored the ‘clicks’ on Google Ads ourselves, so we could see if fraudulent ‘click-thrus’ were being made by various IP addresses. All IP addresses we detected were different, and at no specific times of day. However, once we reached the minimum $100 payment, we ironically received an email from Google stating that our domain had previously been listed using fraudulent ‘clicks’. Why did Google approve Digital Port the second time when they had no intention of paying???
We are not alone on this matter; many other websites refuse to display Google Ads for similar or different circumstances.
If you have suffered from using Google Ads we would like to hear your story on this thread.
