XBOX 360 : The Future of Gaming

The future of gaming looks very promising with the release of the Xbox 360 from Microsoft on the horizon. A gaming console with higher specifications than many of today’s computers, impressive graphics, a host of new accessories including cameras, wireless controllers, and much more.

Some of the games have had a lot of work done on them, to bring you the most realistic games imaginable, using satellite photography and other mapping for car games.

Demand for these consoles is huge, therefore to guarantee you have one before Christmas 2005, the only way is via pre-order.

As standard the console comes with a dual layer DVD player, however there is talk about changing this to a HD DVD player in the future. The price of the console with an internal hard drive is £279.99, and without the hard drive £209.99. The release date is the 25th November for the UK, while in the USA the launch will be a few days earlier.

The Xbox 360 and game previews shown in high definition video (see recommended requirements for viewing this type of video format - slow performance PC's will cause 'jerky' playback of video).

Not that Microsoft is running scare of Sony or anything even though the PS3 isnt due for release until next year, but the dirty tricks department are already busy alegedly spreading rumours against he PS3 claiming games developers are finding it too expensive to develop games for the PS3 and are going to stick with Microsoft.
